About Course

DEEP DIVE · Parenting & Family

Suggested pacing: 5 weeks
Estimated learning time: 5–7 hours

Flexible study estimates include reading, practice and assessment, not academic credit or supervised clinical hours. Real-life experiments may span additional calendar days.

Focus on you as a neurodivergent parent: reduce overwhelm, shame, executive-function strain and nervous-system overload while building sustainable parenting supports. This complements child-focused parenting education rather than repeating its primary purpose. This course expands on related concepts introduced in Empowered Parenting for Neurodivergent Kids. You do not need to take that course first; this course can be taken independently. Some shared EBiT concepts are revisited, with a different focus and application.

Prerequisite: No prior Academy course required.

Developed from Angela Fisher, PhD’s EBiT program framework.

Apply EBiT to the parent as well as the child so caregiving does not depend on masking and exhaustion.

Who this course is for

Autistic, ADHD and AuDHD parents managing parenting demands alongside their own regulation and executive needs.

How you will learn

Self-paced reading, practical worksheets, real-life experiments and knowledge checks. Each module applies Validation, Acceptance and Nurture.

Completion and credential

Complete all lessons/modules, knowledge checks, worksheets and required application exercises, then submit the 25-question final + Parent Operating Manual through the final lesson for manual Academy review. A Certificate of Completion is issued after Academy verification; lesson checkmarks alone do not issue it.

What EBiT means here

EBiT means Empowerment-Based Integrated Treatment, the framework developed by Angela Fisher, PhD. Academy courses teach its principles of Validation, Acceptance and Nurture for education and practical application. A course is not individualized clinical treatment; its certificate records educational completion and does not confer professional licensure or the Certified EBiT Practitioner credential.

Educational scope

This course provides general educational information and does not provide individualized diagnosis or treatment. Course completion does not confer professional licensure or the Certified EBiT Practitioner credential. This course is for adult parents/caregivers. Respect the child’s privacy, assent and safety; do not require personal disclosure or upload identifiable information about a child. Seek qualified support for individualized developmental, educational or health needs.

Continue Your Learning

Optional next steps with a related focus; these are separate courses and are not required for this course’s completion.
