About Course
MINI-COURSE · Work & School
Suggested pacing: 1 week; adjust to the application exercise
Estimated learning time: 2–4 hours
Flexible study estimates include reading, practice and assessment, not academic credit or supervised clinical hours. Real-life experiments may span additional calendar days.
A practical focus on disclosure decisions, accommodation requests, communication and self-advocacy at work. This is a focused application of the broader workplace foundation. This course expands on related concepts introduced in Thriving at Work While Neurodivergent. You do not need to take that course first; this course can be taken independently. Some shared EBiT concepts are revisited, with a different focus and application.
Prerequisite: No prior Academy course required.
Developed from Angela Fisher, PhD’s EBiT program framework.
Make a deliberate disclosure/accommodation decision based on barriers, goals, privacy and risk.
Who this course is for
Employees deciding whether and how to disclose disability or request support.
How you will learn
Self-paced reading, practical worksheets, real-life experiments and knowledge checks. Each module applies Validation, Acceptance and Nurture.
Completion and credential
Complete all lessons/modules, knowledge checks, worksheets and required application exercises, then submit the 10-question check + accommodation request draft through the final lesson for manual Academy review. A Certificate of Completion is issued after Academy verification; lesson checkmarks alone do not issue it.
What EBiT means here
EBiT means Empowerment-Based Integrated Treatment, the framework developed by Angela Fisher, PhD. Academy courses teach its principles of Validation, Acceptance and Nurture for education and practical application. A course is not individualized clinical treatment; its certificate records educational completion and does not confer professional licensure or the Certified EBiT Practitioner credential.
Educational scope
This course provides general educational information and does not provide individualized diagnosis or treatment. Course completion does not confer professional licensure or the Certified EBiT Practitioner credential. This course provides general educational information and does not constitute legal or employment advice.
Continue Your Learning
Optional next steps with a related focus; these are separate courses and are not required for this course’s completion.
